First of all , i want to tell you all that i have heard quite alot about this movie before watching this.When i stepped into the theatre my expectations were skyhigh and i’m happy to say that this movie lived up to its hype.

WALL-E ( Acronym for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) is a waste collecting wide eyed ( i must say not so Good looking robot on earth. A Cockroach( oh yeah..i dont like cockroaches) is its only friend on Earth forbidden by Humanity , and its the year 2700.

WALL-E is happy to be performing its daily routine untill one day a beautiful robot from space lands(sorry it flies actually) on earth for the search of life.WALL-E instantly falls in love with the robot and tries its best to impress it but in vain.On one fine day, Eva ( the beautiful robot) find a plant and as per orders it should leave earth and carry it back to its superior for analysis.

However WALL-E is not the one to give up on his love and follows EVA to space and the rest of the story deals with how WALL-E and EVA together bring the humanity back to Earth.

Summary:

I must say that the intitial first half of the movie will be with few dialogues and thats what makes it a little boring ( for kids it would be perfectly fine) for adults and hence the rating of 4 for first half.

The second half is superb.Overall the movie is a very hilarious,beautiful , touching movie from PIXAR studios.WALL-E is one of the best movies to be releases this year and its a must watch.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO WATCH.

Plot: Bujjigadu(prabhas) and siri(trisha) were best friends in childhood.bujjigadu leaves his home and escapes to chennai as siri askes him not to talk with her for 12 years(because of a silly tiff between them which will be revealed later).She also promises to marry him once he returns to her.After 12 years bujjigadu and siri start searching for eachother but in vain.Bujjigadu meanwhile accepts a contract to kill sivanna (mohan babu) a real estate goon when he is promised of 1 crore rupees by macha reddy(kota) n his three sons, another bigshot who has long term rivalry with sivanna.

Bujjigadu meanwhile meets sanjana(sister of trisha) and trisha also and he does not know her as siri.They develop hatred towards each other inititally.Bujjigadu tries to kill sivvana,fails but impresses him well by thrashing all his subordinates brutally.Incidentally sivvanna happens to be the brother of trisha.Sivana impressed by bujji takes him to his home.Macha reddy finds out that bujji has cheated them and joined hands with sivanna and plans to eliminate both of them.

Finally siri(trisha) is told by her brother that prabhas is the bujjigadu she has been searching for 12 years and when they meet she is shot by one of kota’s sons.They also kidnap sanjana and asks for life of sivanna in exchange of sanjana.What follows is a climax fight in which mohan babu and prabhas thrash all the villain gang as usual and kill them finally.Mohan babu survives despite being shot 5 or 6 times,trisha too survives the bullet shot at her.Bujjigadu,siri and sivvana all unite for a happy ending.

Plus points:

1. I must admit that i was amazed when i saw prabhas in this film.He has lost much of his fat and looks perfect.
2.Prabhas dialogue delivery and acting are pretty good.
3.Couple of fights in the first half were well picturised.
4.Some comedy scenes of m.s.narayana n sunil were good.
Minus points:

1.The second half of the movie.
2.Too many fights and loads of violence.
3.mohan babu role should have been more powerful.
4.Lack of strong story line.

summary:
The first half of the movie is very entertaining but the tempo goes down in the second half.(similar to that of the recently released movies like kantri n parugu).Prabhas n trisha look good in the movie.kota as villain is adequate and mohan babu’s role could have been better.

Final words:

If you are a fan of prabhas the movie is definetly worth a watch.If you are a normal movie goer then you can watch it in the free time.

The chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is fantasy film based on the novel by C.J.Lewis.Its the second one in the series.The four pevensie children return to narnia to aid prince Caspian to recapture his throne against his evil uncle king Miraz.

Plot : In Narnia Caspian a telmarine prince flees from his palace in order to save his life from his evil uncle miraz who sets his eyes on the kings throne. chased by the guards of miraz he enters the deep forest and blews the horn (given by his teacher) which is rumored to summon the ancient kings and queens of narnia.

He founds himself in narnia surrounded by strange creatures which he believed were extinct long ago.

Meanwhile the pevensie children were about to board a train in london where they suddenly find themselves in narnia ,thanks to the horn of prince caspian.They learnt that 1300 years have passed by in narnia since they disappeared when they encounter a dwarf.The dwarf leads them to caspian and the other narnians who stood by him to fight against king miraz.

They reach Aslan’s how and start preparing for a war.Lucy says that she has seen aslan but nobody believes as he also disappeared 1300 years ago when they left narnia. When war becomes inevitable lucy goes to find aslan in the forest alone and peter challenges miraz into a one on one and defeats him.Prince caspian spares his life but one of the telmarine lords kill him and announce that the narnians have killed the king.

War follows and when narnians were about to lose the war Aslan returns with lucy and special effects of trees doing the battle and river god destroying the telmarine army.

Finally the kids bid farewell to aslan,prince caspian and narnians and return to the london station waiting for their train to arrive.

Plus points:

1. The maturity of the kids in the war sequences is clearly seen unlike in the first part where they are actually kids.

2.The special effects which aslan brings in the final war sequence.

3.The war picturisation is as good and as captivating as the firstpart.

Minus points:

1. It would have been good if aslan was shown a bit earlier rather than the last two or three scenes.

2.The villain is not as good as the witch who played villain in the first one.

3.The first 20 mins or so is quite dark and its very irritating to watch.

Summary:

The first half of the movie is average with the kids returning to narnia ,finding prince caspian.The second half is quite entertaining and excellent in picturisation of the war sequences.

Final words: The movies is a good one to watch with very nice special effects(except the first 20 mins).go for it.

Iron man is based on the fictional character of the same by marvel comics.Made with a buget of 135 million $ the film stars Robert downey jr as Tony stark ,a billionaire industialist and weapons scientist.Gwyneth paltrow plays his secretary pepper potts.

Plot:    The story starts with Robert downey jr returning from a missile presentation in afganistan and attacked by some terrorist group(with the weapons manufactued by his own company –stark industries).They capture him alive and asks him to build jericho missile (a cluster bomb missile). But instead he prepares a crude form of iron suit which enables him to escape from the clutches of the terrorist group.

He later repents his own actions of weapons manufacturing and announces shutting down of stark industries(the move will be opposed by the company board later).Mean while he develops the prototype of the iron suit to a full fledged one with the sole idea of destroying the missiles and weapons shipped to terrorist organisations by his own company.

He executes his plan well and saves a village in afganistan,destroys the weapons base of the terrorist organisation.shane his business partner, the one who planned his execution earlier takes the arc reactor from iron mans chest( he prepares that on his own after the attack whn he was critically injured,The arc reactor supplies energy to an electromagnet which prevents embedded shrapnel from reaching Stark’s heart, which would kill him)Shane also gets the prototype of iron man from the terrorist group,kills them all and creates even a bigger version of the iron man.

        Stark does battle with Stane atop Stark Industries and the surrounding streets, defeating him when the full-sized arc reactor that powers the lab is deliberately overloaded, under Stark’s instruction, by Potts.

Plus points:

1. Robert downey jr’s superb acting skills
2. Gwyneth paltrow aptly suits the role of his secretary.
3. Special effects

Minus points:

Film appears a little draggy at some scenes.

Must watch scenes:

1. The scene in which the iron man saves the village people in afganistan.
2. The lab experiments scenes in which he builds the advanced version of the suit.
3. The scene in which he destroys an armed tanker and walks away (fantastic scene).
4. The F-22 chasing scenes are also pretty good to watch.

5. the presentation of the jericho misslie in afganistan.

Final words : Ironman is the best release so far this year and don’t miss it.

 

              Dasavatharam  starring versatile actor kamal hassan is going to be released soon…if rumours are to be believed the film was made of a whopping 130 crore rupees…

The much hyped visit of star hero jackie chan to chennai to attend the audio function of the movie had costed around 10 crores to the producer and has raised many eyebrows.Reportedly the producer has got a charted flight for him to flew to chennai.

An array of starts from bollywood too descended to grace the occassion..the list includes super star amitab bachan , hema malini and mallika sherawat..which has brought the film a huge publicity 

While the trailer looks amazing and tempting enough to drag you to the theater…only time can tell whether the film will be a hit or not!

Let us hope it becomes a hit setting new standards to the indian films!

I watched this movie on 3rd day…u might be thinking why third day…very well i have not got a chance to view it on the first two days and finally i managed to make it to the theater at my hometown gudur..

The ticket cost was 50 rs…that was the highest ever price of any movie ticket i bought in gudur till date .

Actually i missed most of the first song and when i sat in my seat i was almost drenched in sweat…of course the hall is a Non-A/c ….(u cant even dream of an A/C hall in gudur)

My toughies certainly doesn’t end there..more of it later…

Coming to the movie…the first scene i witnessed was allu arjun surrounded by goons (prakash raj’s relatives) asking him the whereabouts of his friend “babu”…generally i don’t remember names of characters from movies but this character name is repeated in conversations so many times that one can hardly forget it after coming out of theater…

Well allu arjun makes fun of the situation when they tell that their girl ( poonam bajwa) has eloped with his friend babu…a fight follows and the hero finally lands up in the village with ppl questioning him abt the whereabouts of poonam even though he denies of any indulgence or knowledge of their whereabouts!

he finds himself locked up in a shed ( u can call it a village pent house) of prakash raj with some of his friends who also , were man handled and brought to the village regarding the eloping incident of their girl…

Allu arjun makes a plan to escape from the village but sheds it at the last minute as he sees a girl ( sheela) and instantly falls in love with her…oh god no…not again…how many movies might have used the “instant love –(love at first sight in layman’s term’s )formula.”..the audience are bored for sure…but the director have no regrets what so ever in using that as easily as an “instant coffee”

any guesses who sheela is? shez prakx second daughter and no points for guessing that….anyone who watches Telugu or Tamil movies will easily make it out..

the comedy scenes in the first half are quite entertaining…sunil is at his usual best of making u laugh…

allu arjun accidentally finds the love letters of poonam to babu and discovers that sheela too knows of her sisters affair..he blackmails her into a deal with out knowing/seeing that shez the one who he is searching for!

Sheela finds it out that shez the girl she and arjun have been searching for and confesses this to a maid..she also tells her how she overheard the conversation of the gang( arjun n friends) and it is arjun who actually helped n encouraged babu n poonam to elope…

Prakx’s brother overhears the conversation and arjun gets his due…finally after threatenings to kill his friends he says that the couple are in Hyderabad…

Till now the story line is good and the director handles most of the scenes well…The screenplay for “Nammavemo” song is really nice and arjun as usual excels in dance sequences…

However the tempo goes down pathetically in the second half with arjun, prakash raj and the others searching for couple, facing problems, and finally with arjun understanding the plight of prakash raj as a father…

The incident in which prakash raj is drunk and expresses his feelings n sorrow before arjun is good….

Arjun, Prakash raj and relatives finally find poonam with her boyfriend and she doesn’t even give a damn abt their feelings ,calls them dogs and threatens to lodge a police complaint..

The heart broken prakashraj says that he will be there for her forever even if she has any problems and decides to comeback.This undoubtedly is one of the best dialogues/scenes of the movie…

They plan to return to their native place and invite arjun n co to Sheela’s marriage in the village after apologizing for their alleged rude treatment earlier ….

Meanwhile the INEVITABLE happens …sheela falls in love with arjun….

she tries to talk to him at the station but in vain…Arjun’s friends n mother ( jayasudha) encourage him to go to village and plan eloping with sheela…arjun agrees but with a very different plan in his mind…

You have to go to the movie to find out what happens afterwards…

Final words: The first half is quite good and entertaining.The tempo in the second half goes down drastically.The plus points of the movie are allu arjun and prakash raj.sheela looked pretty ordinary and the director/camera man could have done better in my view….I would give the movie a 3/5 and recommend it to watch when you are free!

Well i have forgotten to tell you abt my toughies…oh sorry did i say final words earlier..ok then…we’ll meet in my next blog!
